I have the following problem.
I want to create a shared folder in VMware so
the host (windows) and VMware (linux mandrake) have a shared folder. I created a shared folder in VMware but i don’t know where to check. Can somebody give me the exact way to do it? to share it and access it
I can’t find my files anywhere on either side and I don’t know how to get them back. It is mainly my pictures and my music. I don’t know if any other files are gone yet.

any idea on how to make xp recognize usb devices through virtual machine? I installed the guest additions iso. And i’m running virtual box on Ubuntu.
Also, how can you access the shared folder when in xp ?

One way to do it is install a linux virtual machine on my windows (using vmware/vpc) and use it to mount the NFS partition. Will it work? Is there any other way? Some other software.
