Hello.
I want to create a few virtual machines on my computer so I can try out other operating systems e.g. Linux and XP without un-installing my current Vista system, and also to protect my host system from malware and spyware.
I want to use VirtualBox to do this and have done a little reading on it, [...]
I have an XP laptop and i am running VMware workstation. I am running SUSE 10.1 in NAT mode on my VMware. While in SUSE i have access to the internet and i can ping dns queries like yahoo.com but when it comes to specific ip address it doesnt go through. [...]
1. What language are they written in? Are they written in C?
2. To make Java work on Macs, Linux, and Windows, is there a version of the VM written for each platform, or do only certain things change in the source code?
What is – Virtualization Technology Support , Multimedia Instruction, and 64 bit support – and why these three things are important ?
