I have VMWare 5.5.2 installed on my XP machine. The OS installed in VMWare is Server 2003 standard. I also have a physical server 2003 box that is functional and networks with my other PC’s at home. I dont know how to join the VIrtual server 2003 to my physical server. Can that be done? [...]

so im running VMware Server version 2.0.0 Build 116503; i use this on a XP machine @ work and i have arch linux installed partly because i like arch linux distro / partly because no one knows what it is,,, =) so i just installed in a VM to pass approval for my work OS….. [...]

Ive installed VMware Workstation 5.3.3 in XP and Im trying to create a Mandriva 2007 Virtual Machine, but there is no mandriva option. but the Vmware page says they support Mandriva 2007

any idea on how to make xp recognize usb devices through virtual machine? I installed the guest additions iso. And i’m running virtual box on Ubuntu.
Also, how can you access the shared folder when in xp ?

Do you mean in Virtual Networking Connection (VNC)? If so, then press F8, and then, usually in the menu, there’s a “Send F8″ option.
How to enable networking between Host and Guest virtual machine
