I’m currently running VMWARE – I have backed up the files, but have deleted them from the directory.
What exactly do these files do?
And why has nothing happened?

I recently purchased a new computer that came preloaded with Windows Vista. I have a 298GB hardrive and only have 12 GB remaining (I have only installed one game so far)
Anyway there are these files called “Filerserver-VMWARE.vmdk” and “Windows-2003-SERVER-Main.vhd” that take up 130GB each.
What exactly are these?
ive been trying to download ubuntu for a zip file to a virtual machine cant get it to do need help
I’m testing antivirus programs on my virtual machine using IE. I’m testing if it scans the temporary internet files when a malware from an executable or malware cookie is stored. I know avast does, because when I tested a malware executable it caught it in the temporary internet files folder. Does Avira do the same?

So i moved in my files and documents from my previous laptop.
and now i want to install Bootcamp, will it delete the existing data in order to make the partiton?
What about Parallels or VMware?

I can’t find my files anywhere on either side and I don’t know how to get them back. It is mainly my pictures and my music. I don’t know if any other files are gone yet.
