I stumble upon all these posts where people tell them to use the compatibility feature 5 times then he choses the best answer as the guy who gave up because XP doesn’t use DOS. That’s not an answer!

i downloaded a bunch of .jar games on my computer and they won’t play! a Java Virtual Machine Launcher pops up and says”Failed to load Main-Class manifest attribute from” then the file name. WHATS WRONG?
The Setup: I have a PC running 64bit Ubuntu in a virtual machine ontop of 32-bit Vista, connected through ethernet to a DI-524 D-Link Router. The virtual machine has a bridged connection with the host, the virtual machine has it’s own static IP address on the network.

Dell laptop Ii just got ..have tried resetting security to minimum ..no firewall active to test … Jav virtual machine and Windows virtual have both been tried as well with no luck. I still get a dns or server error .. some sites tell me I have active x blocked ..any good ideas ? [...]

i downloaded ubuntu 8.10 and was gonna install it on vmware so i start setup and the ubuntu logo comes up and so do the options
-try ubuntu without any changes to your computer
-install ubuntu and so on
i highlight install ubuntu and hit enter and then it freezes?
i try the same thing again with the 1st [...]
Keep getting java error messages, multi virtual machines running caused error
