How To Connect A Macbook Pro, Which Has Only A Dvi Port, To A Tv Which Has Rca(three-prong, Not S-video)input?

i already have a dvi to rca cable but the mac has no native way to output the proper resolution of ntsc tvs-which i have, with only rca input in this way. Apple recommends only tvs with dvi, vga or hdmi. I also have windows xp on vmware fusion in my mac.

Is it RCA red-green-blue or RCA red-white yellow? If it is RWY, only the yellow is carrying video. You would need http://store.apple.com/us/product/M9267G… or something similar from another manufacturer.
If it is RGB, all three are carrying the video (and you will get much higher quality video) and you would need something like http://sewelldirect.com/DVI-to-Component…
If you truly have the RWY RCA, the use of a TV will be a painful, eye-straining experience, as I’m sure you know. For software to help force a resolution to show on your tv, try http://www.3dexpress.de/

Whats the point? Using a rca port you’ll only get 480i resolution, about 640 x 480 pixels. With a resolution that small, everything will be blurry, text illegible, and it’ll basically look like crap.
There’s a reason why they suggest VGA, DVI, and HDMI.
