Turbotax For Mac Vs. Windows?

I’m about to buy TurboTax software download to do my taxes. I can technically buy either for Mac or Windows since I run Parallels & have a Windows XP Virtual Machine on my Mac.
But I wanted to hear from someone who has used both – does it pay to go for the Windows version of TurboTax or is the Mac OS X version just as good?

  1. I use the Windows version on a virtual machine on my Mac – and it works well as is more full-featured than the Mac version.

The choice between TurboTax for Windows or Mac is yours. They are virtually identical. While there are a few differences, the differences have nothing to do with the tax forms or calculations. Personally, I believe the Mac version has a few more features that I like. For example, I like the bookmarking feature and the ease with which you can switch between the Interview and the Forms mode. In the end, however, go with whichever platform you prefer.

    I hope this information helps.
