Compiz Fusion Issues Ubuntu..help Thank You!?

okay soo i have compiz fusion installed i go to appearance to enable the effects thing but it looks like its gunna work and then it comes up with a notification box that says desktop effect could not be enabled. I have a nvidia video card i don’t know what one its built in i don’t know if the problem is happening because i am running it on a virtual machine or what maybe its blacklisted if so is there a way around it

    You cannot use Compiz Fusion inside a Virtual Machine. This is because VMs do not provide 3D acceleration to their guest OS.
    I’d advise downloading Wubi. Its a version of Ubuntu that installs like a normal program. No repartitioning needed. If you want to remove it, it just appears in your add/remove programs menu and its gone :) http://wubi-installer.org/
