Don’t mess around. Use Boot Camp to set up your Mac so it can boot into Windows if you want maximum performance when you’re playing graphically intensive Windows games.
VirtualBox is free, should work just as good as those.
Given that VMWare can’t do 3D when you upgrade to the latest version of OSX, I’d go with Parallels.
