Vmware Fusion Won’t Take My Brand New Serial Number.?

I just got VMware fusion for my computer. I’m trying to put my serial number in but it wont take it. I just got the serial number brand new and tried two other numbers. None of the work. Can somone tell me how to fix it or why its happening?
