I am running windows vista home basic, and I downloaded Microsoft Virtual PC, and I also have a windows xp disk that came with my dad’s computer, distribute by dell. I have the vista on my dell, and I am wondering if I can install xp on the virtual pc using the distributed dell xp disc. And if i can, how much ram and how many megabytes of virtual hard drive should I allocate to xp. Is there any risks? And do I have to keep the xp disk in every time I want to run xp in the virtual browser? Thanks.

Install it just as you would if you were installing it on a regular pc. you can chose as much disk space as you are allowed in virtual pc and memory because it’s virutal. I run vista ultimate and xp on virtual pc.
