Good Virtual Machine For Games?

Is there such a thing? I’ll be using Ubuntu and emulating Windows XP. I looked at QEMU, but I read that it didn’t work well for games. I may just end up dual booting, but I just want to see what my options are.

    I have heard that Wine works well with games once you figure out how to install and configure the game with it.
