Is It Worthwhile To Build A Windows 7 Virtual Machine In Vmware Workstation?

Is building a Virtual Machine in VMware Workstation worthwile? or is it just a waste of time?
Iv built VM’s that ran
-Windows Vista Business
-Windows Vista Home Premium and
-Windows XP
Windows XP works fine but runs a little slow at times. Both of the Vistas ran extremely slow and required a lot of hard drive space. This space is not a problem at all but i want it to run at a decent rate.
My questions are How fast does windows 7 run? How much disk space does it require? and are there any other advantages or disadvantages that i should know about? im not very familiar with windows 7 so please fill me in with what you know.
by the way my actual computer is running Windows Vista
Your Comments are Appreciate.

Windows 7 is still in Beta, unless you’ve downloaded the release candidate.
It works fine in VMWare. It’s not that different from Vista.

I use VMWare Fusion, and saw this:

I’ve used the 64 bit Windows 7 VM and have been pleasantly surprised. MUCH better than 32 bit XP. Sorry, don’t have all the metrics you’re interested in.

Friends have said it’s much better than Vista, performance-wise and resource utilization-wise. I, myself, haven’t have hands-on experience with Vista, though.
