		<description>Ok, you should have the physical modem installed on the machine where your vmware is installled.  Configure your virtual machine to use ethernet/NIC to get onto the internet.  Dial-up on the physical vmware machine and disable the nic in the machine.  This should force your vitual machine out the modem.</description>
