Where Can I Find Info On Software Licensing? I’m A Tech Newbie- Need To Know This 4 My Marketing Internship

My project is to take our company’s top 200 independent software vendor applications- and for each application- find out what the pricing model is for EACH processor technology (5 different types of chips) and virtualization technology (e.g. the new stuff today like containers/logical domains where you pay per core used, not for all the cores in that server). I have no tech background so I’m VERY intimidated and the info is pretty detailed so typical google searches just dont help much at all. Any suggestions where I can get some fundamental knowledge in this arena to pull off this project confidently and efficiently?
Thanks so much in advance! :)

Well, your easiest route may be to see if your company has any of this on file. Typically most companies will keep contracts and licensing agreements for software on file. If not you may just need to contact the vendors directly.
